I’ve always appreciated the poetry and rhythm of the seemingly mundane, something I refer to as the still city. If you are looking, the urban environment is full of these gems, and on a walk through my neighborhood one night I came across this jumble of bikes. The original sketch of these bikes was a quick airplane idea, fast and loose which gave way to this piece. It is a style somewhere between graphic and painterly, monochrome but also colorful, painted on vintage music sheets collaged on panel.

This piece also includes a custom float frame, handmade by me in my Denver studio.
